INTRODUCTON- Janice Sites, Director, JJ Cares
We are a Colorado State PASA (Program Approved Service Agency) and a family-owned business with a lifetime of experience along with a personal connection.
ABOUT US-
Throughout Janice's childhood years, she helped her disabled sister with homework and other learning activities. From her sister's participation in special education classes to Special Olympic activities, her life was filled with new friendships from the DD community.
In 1984 while at one of the sporting events, her mother and disabled sister met a struggling individual and the much-needed volunteer process naturally fell into place. Unknowingly for Janice, at that time, this simple voluntary deed by her mother, was the foundation of JJ Cares.
In 1995 Janice began providing services as an independent contractor for the Supported Living Services program.
In 1999, when her daughter Amanda was old enough, they created JJ Cares.
Amanda grew up spending time at her aunt's activities and was a grade school volunteer assisting with the special needs class. As an adult she continued to volunteer with Special Olympics and was naturally immersed in the DD community.
In 2002 Amanda had assumed all responsibilities of JJ Cares and became the face of the agency. Her disabled aunt also became a part of her household and lived with her for several years.
In 2019 Amanda’s daughter-in-law, Danielle, joined the team and has brought a fresh face, full of excitement and energy to the community she serves. She has been named the cleaning and organizing expert and loves every second of it.
In 2024 Amanda's daughter, Dionna, joined the team. She also grew up surrounded by members of the DD community. Her goal is to purchase a home and become a Host Home Provider.
We are proud to say that we are now 4 generations into this adventure, and we are still serving our very first client.

The mission of JJ Cares is to contribute to the success of the people in which they serve.
We specialize in care and daily living assistance to an array of individuals. Whether your loved one needs daily or weekly assistance, our caregivers will provide an individualized service that you can trust. We also hire and assist family members in becoming caregivers for your loved one and if interested, care of other individuals that are in need of services.
We understand that not one care plan fits all. Daily services can include anything from meal preparation, hygiene, cleaning, errands, medical appointment, a day at the movies and supervision. We will take the time to get to know your family and work with the CCB to develop an individualized care plan that fits your specific needs.
Relationships are key to a trusted environment between our clients, families, and caregivers. We not only strive to help you with everyday tasks, but want to develop a caring, trusting, personal relationship, not just a business relationship. We provide one-on-one attention on a personal level that cannot compare.
